Current mood: contemplative

Time for another one ...
So I want to throw another party.

This time, a wine and cheese appreciation party.

Deal is: bring a matched wine and cheese, with accompaniments (eg, fig jam, quince paste, walnuts, pear, whatever and appropriate crackers/bread).

Go to as much or as little effort as you like.

I'll supply wineglasses, and the venue of My House.

How's that idea sound to people?

Sounds like more fun filled frivolities.
Though, I have no idea what cheeses and wines go together.

pity there is no cheese flavoured wine. not the normal "fermented grape juice flavour that goes with cheese", i mean "cheese flavour". and not that fake cheese flavour that is put onto chips, i want something proper (like bree, chedder, or fetta flavours in my wine).

I've had a shiraz that tasted like chocolate, or more commonly, pepper. Not so sure about the cheese-tasting wine, though ...

i think it would be awesome. i had a port flavoured cheese that was nice. therefore, a cheese flavoured port would be nice.
